  • rubbing compound works well to take the oxidized layer of paint off the surface. Then you can apply wax and it shines like new. Its pretty easy to use on the sheet metal, but i've never tried to use it on cast engine blocks and frames...it would be kind of hard to use on that rough cast surface.
